A bloody proposal

The vampire steps from the shadows next to the treasure and makes an offer.

  • Let him feed: The unit that triggered this event is Incapacitated. The vampire is now hostile towards the opposing warband.
    • The Incapacitated unit must roll for Scars with Disadvantage at the end of the game
    • This counts as 1 towards his Hunger
    • Increase the vampires progress track by 1
    • The vampire is now aligned with your warband
    • The opposing warband may optionally align with the hunter
  • Refuse: The vampire appears 1” away from the unit that triggered the event and is now hostile to both warbands.
    • Your warband is now aligned with the hunter
    • The opposing warband may optionally align with the vampire

Trigger Vampire

The vampire appears on a random board edge and is hostile to your warband.

  • If the opposing warband is unaligned with the Vampire they may optionally align with them

Trigger Hunter

The hunter becomes hostile to your warband and will appear at the highest floor of a random building on the map. The hunter will remain on this floor of the building and attempt to shoot the triggering warband.

The hunter uses the following logic in order:

  • They will not willingly leave this floor of the building
  • They will engage any hostile unit on the floor of their building
  • They will move if required and target the nearest hostile hero with a ranged attack
  • Otherwise they will move if required and target the nearest hostile henchmen with a ranged attack

If they are forced out of their building, they instead act as normal.

  • If the opposing warband is unaligned with the Hunter they may optionally align with them

Duel

The vampire and hunter both appear next to a hero of their aligned warband of their choice. Each of the units are now fully under the control of their aligned warband and will count towards their route thresholds.

  • If the hunter survives and the vampire is incapacitated they gain an additional 1 on their progress track. The hunter aligned warband gains an extra step towards patronage.
  • If the vampire survives and the hunter is incapacitated they gain an additional 2 on their progress track. The vampire aligned warband gains an extra step towards patronage.

Hunter Chaos

Use the same logic as the Trigger Hunter scenario but he is hostile to both warbands.

Hunt Vampire

The vampire is skulking in the shadows of the battlefield. Each time a unit enters into a building they must roll morale.

  • If they fail the roll the vampire appears as though they engaged the unit that entered the building.
    • At the end of the melee phase the vampire will skulk into the shadows again.
    • If the vampire is incapacitated or the Hunger count reaches the threshold, he will no longer re-appear.

Special Scenario

Feed the vampire:

  • Civilians scatter the map.
  • The vampire can incapacitate a civilian in melee to add to the opponent route threshold.
  • The allied warband can pick up civilians like treasure to bring them to the vampire.
  • If the opposed warband takes out the vampire it counts towards 3 units in the route threshold.
